The Bronze Copper!

Introducing our latest Lost Wax Bronze sculpture in the guise of our Bulldog Bobby. Cast in real bronze and made in England, this discerning figurine is a Limited Edition on only 10 figurines Worldwide.

Bronze is the medium of choice for capturing sculpture that usually has been reserved for the perceived “Fine Art” market. It is therefore no surprise that the quality and detail of our own sculpts lend themselves to be perfectly represented in this medium. For this process we have entrusted Lunts Castings of Birmingham with the task of bringing our work to life in Bronze, whom themselves have a world renowned reputation for delivering the highest quality of work for the specialist scale of sculpture and complexity we wish to deliver.

Expertly cast in lost wax bronze at the Lunts foundry, every figurine is skilfully hand finished to create a colour and patination we have closely engineered with Lunts. The finishing touch is the contrasting Luna Pearl Marble base, beautifully enhancing the golden brown hues shimmering out from the bronze casting.


Each sculpt is individually numbered by a stamp in the cast and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Robert Harrop.

Cold Cast Bronze BIG Bulldog Policeman

Our Lost-Wax bronze sculptures are becoming very sought after and will continue to be popular with many collectors. However, we could not ignore the demand from a section of our collectorate to produce a more affordable bronze finish.
This has culminated in the introduction of this stunning figurine, cast not as a Lost-Wax Bronze, but using a Cold-Cast Bronze technique instead. This means that we can achieve the classic bronze finish, but at a very affordable price.


Cold-cast bronze has been a tried and tested technique for many years and is a popular sector of the figurine market.
Skilfully hand crafted in England, the process starts with the infusion of real bronze powder into the regular ceramic resin cast. Once the material has cured, the desired finish and patina is achieved with a high level of expertise using various methods of abrasion, polishing and waxing.

From the images here, I think you’ll agree that the figurine looks truly spectacular and would make a proud centrepiece to any collection. Each piece is a Limited Edition of only 50 pieces and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Robert Harrop.

The piece we feel is most fitting to start this iconic series is our very super-sized Doggie Person the BIG Bulldog Policeman. In an edition size of only 50 pieces Worldwide, this Bronze Bobby stands at an impressive 14 inches tall.

This very unique figure stands proudly in his Full Provincial Livery, a testament to a very special organisation indeed and with his Bulldog spirit really evokes not only his patriotic lineage but also quiet authority.

This notion of marrying our very unique style of whimsical 'anthropomorphic' canine with that of a 'Mason' was the notion of a Mr Barry Titterrell, from The Masonic Province of West Kent, who doggedly (no pun intended) pressured Matt into producing this figurine, primarily as a charity piece, but also with the conclusion that it would make a 'damn fine figure' as well!

This piece was sculpted by same said Matt Buckley and is of a style of work and idea first created by Robert Harrop over 25 years ago, which has maintained a very loyal collectorate to this day. Every figurine will be cast and hand-painted in our studios in Shropshire, England, and will come with an individual number and certificate to give each figurine complete provenence and maintain it's thorough integrity as 'proper' British craftsmanship.

The price of each piece will be £60.00 (including VAT), '£10.00' of which will go to the Province's chosen charity, which in this case is the West Kent 2015 Festival for the Masonic Samaritan Fund.

As stated this will be a 'Time Limited Edition' which means that it will only be available in this Colourway for a fixed period which in this case will be up until December 31st 2012.

This very unique Bulldog figurine stands proudly in his Full Masonic Livery, complete with the ‘Square and Compasses’, the most identifiable symbol of Freemasonry, emblazoned on his ceremonial apron. Coming from the United Grand Lodge of England, founded in 1717, the home of Freemasonry in England and Wales, and is the oldest Grand Lodge of Freemasons in the world.
