TB11 - Zero-X Thunderbirds
Limited Edition of 250 RRP £95.00Photo copyright of Robert Harrop Designs Original Robert Harrop Designs advertThunderbirds, Robert HarropNEW! Zero-X from 'Thunderbirds Are Go!' A Limited Edition of Only 250 Figurines Worldwide Individually Numbered! Thunderbirds, Zero-X Launched from the Glenn Field Spaceport, and headquarters of the Solar System Exploration Centre (SECC), Zero-X has been designed to be the first manned spacecraft to land on Mars and is comprised of five detachable sections. The main body houses the chemical engines, providing the thrust required for lift-off and the subsequent journey to Mars. A Martian Exploration Vehicle (MEV) is attached to the front of the main body where it also serves as Zero-X’s main control centre. For take-off and landing two remotely-controlled wings are attached to the main body at the front and rear of the craft allowing Zero-X to operate from a runway like a conventional aircraft. The wings separate from the main body when the ship is at a high altitude and remotely fly back to base; on re-entry, they rendezvous with the spacecraft allowing it to safely land back to Earth. The final section is a heatproof nose cone which protects the MEV during take-off and is jettisoned shortly after leaving the Earth's atmosphere. On reaching Mars, the MEV detaches from the main body, which is left in orbit and descends towards the planet's surface. At the surface the MEV extends caterpillar tracks to negotiate the Martian terrain. A Limited Edition of Only 250 figurines Worldwide, each piece will be individually numbered with a unique edition number! Excavator Thunderbirds 2015 will mark the 50th Anniversary of Gerry Anderson's iconic TV series 'Thunderbirds' and we will be celebrating this illustrious milestone by launching some very special 'Rescue & Espionage' figurines throughout the year! We are therefore very proud to introduce you to our new and highly detailed figurine of The Excavator, International Rescues' specialised digging machine, taken from the classic episode 'Martian Invasion'. To mark its provenance, each exclusive piece will be hand numbered on the base with a unique edition number and will be a great addition to any Supermarionation collection! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and our very own Forum to make sure that you keep up to date with the new 'Rescue and Espionage' 50th Anniversary figurines that will be launched throughout the year. DATA… The Excavator 'Martian Invasion' The Excavator is International Rescue’s specialised digging machine. Equipped with a horizontally rotating and adjustable burrowing device situated directly at the front of the vehicle, the Excavator can be used to clear large volumes of debris from disaster sites. With rows of tough and fast-rotating teeth, or flails, it can quickly and efficiently mine directly into rock or stone such as a rocky hill, rubble or cliff face. The rotating motion of the teeth combined with a scoop situated directly behind it effectively catches and feeds the rock debris further into the machine where it is crushed into a finer material and ejected out of two funnels at the rear. Scott Tracy himself refers to the machine as ‘the drilling and crushing excavator’ and as with other International Rescue vehicles it is tracked to give it better traction on rough terrain. Housed within Pod 5 and transported to the front line by Thunderbird 2, the Excavator is piloted by Virgil Tracy and appears in ‘Martian Invasion’, where it is used to rescue two men trapped in a flooding cave. TB15 - The SidewinderLimited Edition of 200 RRP £99.99 Sculpted by Simon Boden Photo copyright of Robert Harrop Designs Original Robert Harrop Designs advertNEW! ThunderbirdsThunderbirds 50th Anniversary Handpainted Figurine A Limited Edition of Only 200 Figurines AVAILABLE NOW! Sidewinder Thunderbirds Introducing our new and highly detailed figurine of The Sidewinder, taken from the classic episode 'The Pit of Peril'. Each Official Sidewinder Thunderbirds figurine is a Limited Edition of only 200 pieces Worldwide. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and our very own Forum to make sure that you keep up to date with the new Supermarionation figurines that will be launched throughout the year. DATA… The Sidewinder 'Pit of Peril' The Sidewinder is an all-terrain military vehicle developed by the US Army to help prevent South African ‘brush fire’ wars escalating into larger conflicts. A uniquely designed vehicle, the Sidewinder resembles a large scorpion with four stilt-like hydraulic legs supporting a long thin body and two giant pincers situated at the end of long segmented arms. At 50 meters in length and weighing in at over 500 tonnes, the Sidewinder is slow and lumbering, yet it’s capable of crossing terrain inaccessible to other land vehicles. The long legs allow it to traverse over the roughest terrain with the extensive reach of the pincers clearing a path by removing more difficult obstacles. The Sidewinder is heavily armed with gun turrets covering all angles of attack. However, the initial test run in the jungles of Africa was not a complete success as the vehicle accidentally falls into a pit hidden in the sands. The pit is an old open-cast mine subsequently used as a military equipment dump after World War II. The dumped material instantaneously combusts and at 300 feet below ground the fire and extreme heat trap the men inside the vehicle and it is left to International Rescue to save them. A Limited Edition Handpainted figurine / statue from the Thunderbirds Collection. Designed and Sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs. Sculpted by Simon Boden. Approximately 4.3 inches (110mm) tall, 7.9 inches (200mm) long and 4.3 inches (110mm) wide. A Limited Edition of Only 200 Figurines Worldwide. Individually hand numbered with a unique number on the base. Comes complete in a presentation box with information booklet and tent card. Robert Harrop Designs Thunderbirds Collection

TBCS14 Christmas Rocket, Thunderbirds, Christmas SpecialReleased November 2014 Limited Edition of 150 RRP £45.00 Photo copyright of Robert Harrop Designs Original Robert Harrop Designs advertNEW! CHRISTMAS ROCKET FROM 'GIVE OR TAKE A MILLION' A LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 150 FIGURINES WORLDWIDE INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED! Please allow four weeks for delivery. Thunderbirds, Christmas Rocket, Supermarionation The Christmas Rocket from 'Give or Take a Million' In an attempt to raise money for a new Solar Therapy Wing for the Coralville Children's Hospital, the fund committee arrange for a canister full of Christmas presents to be dropped by rocket into the hospital grounds on Christmas Day. Seen as a great PR stunt, the Rocket is to be launched from the roof of Harman’s Department store in New York. One special gift even contains an invitation from Jeff Tracy for one of the children to spend Christmas on Tracy Island! As the Christmas Rocket is being prepared on Christmas Eve, two thieves break into the Second National Bank from the toy department of Harman's store, which is located adjacent to the vault. Using a harness to lift them clear of the touch-sensitive vault floor, the would-be robbers steal gold bars stacked on the shelves of the vault, but a pencil is accidentally knocked off a table and falls on to the floor setting off the alarms! In a panic the two crooks hide away in the canister of presents, just as it is being loaded on to the Christmas Rocket! The rocket is launched and the G-Force does the rest, rendering the crooks unconscious, and proof that crime does not pay, especially if International Rescue are involved! The drama over, and one lucky child does get to spend Christmas on Tracy Island with International Rescue and even watches Thunderbird 3 being launched! A Happy Christmas indeed! Each figurine is individually marked with a unique edition number, the perfect festive edition for your Supermarionation collection! We hope you have a FAB Christmas!
