Introducing a new Doggie People Collectors Mug, inspired by our Bull Terrier Teutonic Knight figurine!

From out of the Dark Ages rode a devoutly religious Brotherhood gathered from within the Kingdoms of Europe. Unyielding and puritanical in their protection of the Christian Faith, these Crusading Knights gained a fearsome reputation for such courage and valour that time has failed to wither as their memory and legacy lives on. From the Order of the Brothers of the House of St. Mary in Jerusalem, the Teutonic Kight stands proudly with his white shield and black cross, clad in chainmail, this warrior would be a match for any foe.

From out of the Dark Ages rode a devoutly religious group of Knights, charged with the defense of the Holy Land and care of Christian Pilgrims. Becoming one of the most powerful Christian forces in the Middle East, these Knights were known for their brutal impulses and willingness for self-sacrifice for the greater good, a true force to be reckoned with.

Our August 'Mug of the Month' is based on our Bull Terrier Hospitaller Knight from the Order of the Hospitallers of the Jerusalem Military Hospital. Also known as the 'Knights of Malta', he stands proudly with his red shield and red Maltese Cross, clad in chainmail, this warrior is a true defender of the Holy Land.

Unyielding and puritanical in their protection of the Christian Faith, these Crusading Knights gained a fearsome reputation for such courage and valour that time has failed to wither as their memory and legacy lives on.

Introducing our Bull Terrier Crusading Knight from the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Having both ecclesiastical and military aspects, the Order’s origins were born from the success of the First Crusade and the establishment of the Kingdom of Jerusalem in 1099.

Their military role was initiated by the election as leader of the First Crusade of Godfrey de Bouillon, who led his men to victory in Jerusalem on July 15th 1099. He died in July 1100 and was succeeded by his brother Baldwin, as King. King Baldwin I laid the foundations of the kingdom and drew up the first Constitution of the chivalric Order in 1103, under which the Knights were appointed at the direct service of the Crown, in the protection of pilgrims and defence of Jerusalem.

For the Ninth piece of our exclusive Arthurian Knights series we meet Sir Hector as a Solid Fawn Bull Terrier.

Sir Hector is the younger half-brother of Lancelot, with whom he shares a father, the King Ban of Benwick.

When Lancelot is caught in his affair with Guinevere, Hector stands by his brother and leaves court with him. He becomes one of Lancelot's top generals, participating in the battle to rescue the queen at her execution. Like all his family, he joins Lancelot in France when they are expelled from Arthur's kingdom, and he helps defeat the army led by Mordred's sons after the Battle of Camlann.
