When the Country Companion's were created in 1986 little did I know that 27 years later the idea would still have the world wide appeal that it has. Each of the Characters were created by myself from working sketches and sculpted in wax to allow the high detail. Given that my Art training was purely creative I had to learn the basics skills of mould making from scratch. Every piece in the retrospective collection will have had all the original moulds made by yours truly. To make these pieces even more special, all of them will have been initially painted by my wife Margaret, all of this taking place in the outbuildings of our cottage in Shifnal. As collectors we are well aware of your thirst for provenance, the Retrospective Collection is being produced to slake such a thirst.
