Marked 'M 10' indicating this as Master 10 and used as a painting pattern in 1997. Painted & Initialed by Peggy Horton, the Head Paintress. Note the dots on some of the bricks, used as markers to indicate to the painters the correct location of the darker painted bricks. Approximately 6.7 inches (170mm) tall. A ceramic resin figurine designed, sculpted & painted in Shropshire, England. Produced and developed in 1997 as a one-off colour alternative to the BDCS97 that finally went into production. The main differences being; red boots, blue trousers, brown belt, dark green sack and lighter coloured bricks. Initialled by paintress Peggy Horton Approximately 5.4 inches (134mm) tall. Comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Robert Harrop. Presentation box also included. Here is a rare opportunity to own a Robert Harrop Designs 'Studio Painted Original', a figurine that came from the first rubber mould that itself was formed from the initial wax sculpt. This makes this piece at least one 'generation' larger than the retail production pieces. This particular figurine is an Original Studio Piece developed as an alternative paint pattern for BDCS97. This paint pattern was subsequently not chosen for production and the main differences are clearly visable in the boot, trouser, belt, sack and brick colours. This figurine is therefore the only one of its colour pattern in existence. This unique piece will come complete with Certificate of Authenticity signed by Robert Harrop himself giving it a permanent catalogued history, protecting the future value of your new investment.
