Original Robert Harrop Designs advertNEW! Doctor Who Handpainted Figurine A Limited Edition of Only 750 Figurines NOW AVAILABLE! Doctor Who Weeping Angel We at Robert Harrop Designs invite you to be part of our history with the introduction of the very first pieces to be released into our new Doctor Who range of figurines! We have been creating collectable hand painted figurines for over 30 years and have gained a well earned reputation of high quality and accuracy of detail. Our extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few. A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios! In partnership with the BBC, we have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions. As a mark of provenance, each Limited Edition figurine will be numbered with a unique Edition Number and will come packaged in a presentation box with an Information Card and Certificate of Authenticity! DATA… Weeping Angel From ‘Blink’ 2007 "Don’t blink. Don’t even blink. Blink and you’re dead. They are fast, faster than you can believe. Don’t turn your back, don’t look away, and don’t blink. Good Luck." It is 2007 and Sally Sparrow enters an abandoned house to look for subjects to photograph. Instead she finds eerie stone statues and a message from the Doctor hidden for years behind peeling wallpaper warning her about the Weeping Angels! Trapped in the past, the Doctor and his companion Martha Jones are trying to communicate with Sally Sparrow to prevent the Weeping Angels from taking control of the TARDIS and thus acquiring its power. To save the day, Sally must unravel a set of cryptic clues sent through time by the marooned Doctor. No one knows where the Weeping Angels come from, but they are described as being as old as the universe and “quantum locked", allowing them to move incredibly fast when unobserved. When seen they literally turn to stone, adopting the “weeping” appearance to avoid looking at each other. They are unusual predators in that they don’t kill their prey, but with a single touch can send a person into the past, thus erasing them from the present. A Limited Edition 1:12 scale handpainted figurine / statue from the Doctor Who Collection. Designed and Sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs. Sculpted by Simon Boden. Approximately 7 inches (168mm) tall (1:12 scale). A Limited Edition of Only 750 Figurines Worldwide. Individually hand numbered with a unique number on the base. DATA… Cyberman From ‘Revenge of the Cybermen’ 1975 "Cybermen can survive more efficiently than animal organisms. That is why we will rule the galaxy." The time ring from ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ takes the Doctor and his companions back to Space Station Nerva, to a period many thousands of years earlier than their previous visit. The station is currently acting as a beacon warning space traffic of the existence of a new asteroid orbiting Jupiter. This asteroid is what was left of planet Voga, a planet with an extremely high gold content and thought to be destroyed by the Cybermen. The Cybermen are a race of cyborgs who are among the most persistent enemies of the Doctor. Originally a wholly organic species of humanoids originating on Earth's twin planet Mondas, they began to implant more and more artificial parts into their bodies as a means of self-preservation. This led to the race becoming coldly logical and calculating, with every emotion deleted from their minds. A Limited Edition 1:12 scale handpainted figurine / statue from the Doctor Who Collection. DATA… Dalek from ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ (1975) “Today, the Kaled race is ended, consumed in a fire of war. But, from its ashes will rise a new race. The supreme creature. The ultimate conqueror of the universe. The Dalek!" The Time Lords intercept the transmat beam taking the Doctor, Sarah and Harry back to Space Station Nerva and deposit them instead on the planet Skaro, the home planet of the Daleks, at an early point in its history. Skaro was home to two races; the Thals, a warrior race, and the Kaleds, a race of teachers and philosophers. A thousand-year-old degenerative war between the two races came to a conclusion in ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ when Davros, the leading Kaled scientist, developed the Daleks as a 'housing' for mutated Kaleds. DATA… Sea Devil from ‘The Sea Devils’ (1972) "We shall destroy man and reclaim the planet." The Doctor and Jo Grant visit the Master in a high-security prison on an island off the south coast of England and hear from the governor, Colonel Trenchard, that ships have been mysteriously disappearing at sea. Investigating, the Doctor learns that the sinkings have centred around an abandoned sea fort. He and Jo then visit the fort and are attacked by what one of the men there terms a ‘Sea Devil’. The Master, aided by a misguided Trenchard, is stealing equipment from the Naval base in order to build a machine to revive the Sea Devils from their prehistoric hibernation. The ‘Sea Devils’ made their first appearance in ‘The Sea Devils’ in the phase of the Third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee. Although they are never formally named, the Sea Devils are an amphibious breed of prehistoric creatures and marine relatives of the Silurians. However, the Doctor reveals that the name ‘Silurian’ is inaccurate and states they should more properly be called ‘Eocenes’, originating from that era. The Master also reveals that he discovered the existence of the Sea Devils from files he stole from the Time Lords. A Limited Edition Handpainted figurine / statue from the Doctor Who Collection. DATA… The TARDIS from 1974 "You see Liz, the Tardis, is dimensionally transcendental". An acronym for Time And Relative Dimension in Space, the TARDIS is the Doctor’s time machine and can take him anywhere in time and space. The TARDIS is larger on the inside than the outside, or dimensionally transcendental, meaning that the interior exists in a different relative dimension to that of the exterior. The last of its kind the TARDIS’ outside is supposed to blend into its surroundings, but due to a broken chameleon circuit it has been stuck as a blue police box for hundreds of years. The interior of the TARDIS contains the Console Room, the heart of the TARDIS which has changed in appearance almost as much as its captain the Doctor. The interior is almost infinite in size, containing a vast number of rooms and chambers, including swimming pools, art galleries a library and gardens. The TARDIS is a living machine connected telepathically to those travelling inside it and every TARDIS was equipped with a link to the Eye of Harmony, a black hole which powers the TARDISes time engines. Time travel was made possible by the sacrifice of Omega the first of the Time Lords. He harnessed a black hole creating the Eye of Harmony an energy source that powered all TARDISes. Omega was trapped forever on the other side of the black hole and has vowed revenge on the Time Lords should he ever escape. A Limited Edition Handpainted figurine / statue from the Doctor Who Collection. Designed and Sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs. Traditionally Hand Sculpted by Simon Boden. Our extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few. A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios! In partnership with the BBC, we have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted Doctor Who figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions. As a mark of provenance, each Limited Edition figurine will be numbered with a unique Edition Number and will come packaged in a presentation box with an Information Card and Certificate of Authenticity! DATA… Cyberman from ‘The Tenth Planet’ (1966) "Come to Mondas and you will have no need of emotions. You will become like us." The TARDIS arrives in December 1986 at a South Pole Space Tracking station where the personnel, under the command of General Cutler, are engaged in trying to talk down a manned space capsule that has got into difficulty. The Doctor realises that the problem stems from the gravitational pull of another planet that has entered the solar system and is now heading for Earth. His words are borne out when the base is invaded by a force of alien Cybermen. The Cybermen's world, Mondas, is draining energy from Earth - once its 'twin planet' - and the situation will soon become critical. When Mondas first appears it is vaguely said to be between Mars and Venus. Its continental land masses are similar to Earth's, and the Doctor is aware of the existence of the planet. The brains of the Cybermen are 'human', but lack emotions and their bodies are impervious to bullets and extremes of temperature, but not to radiation. Their power source is Mondas itself. A Limited Edition Handpainted figurine / statue from the Doctor Who Collection. Designed and Sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs. Traditionally Hand Sculpted by Simon Boden. Official BBC License. Each piece is approved by the Doctor Who television production team at BBC Wales in Cardiff. Additionally, the Doctors are approved by the actors themselves. Approximately 8 inches (205mm) tall. A Limited Edition of Only 250 Figurines Worldwide. Individually hand numbered with a unique number on the base. Comes complete in a presentation box with information card and a Certificate of Authenticity! Robert Harrop Designs Doctor Who Collection
